  WHY "LEGACY"

The name "Legacy" comes from the Hebrew word cheleq. It is found in many places in the Bible, but Psalm 73:25-26 is especially precious to us. "Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And besides Thee, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion (cheleq) forever.

In other words, when a person repents and believes in Jesus Christ (Mark 1:15), He becomes a child of God. A child of God is rich with an eternal inheritance (Ephesians 1:11). Above all, the legacy that Jesus left for His children is Himself! A child of the King has direct access to the King. No earthly treasure can compare to having an intimate relationship with God almighty!

As we treasure Christ above all things, our perspective on life changes. Earthly things no longer seem so precious. The "treasures" that we once held so dear seem to lack the luster that they once had. In short, when we are satisfied in Jesus, nothing else can satisfy!
